6 de maig del 2024I already have two Synchilla Snap Ts, one of which is 10 years old and still in perfect condition. My wife has three, including one that is more than 20 years old and still going strong. My three favorite colors are blue, green and yellow; so when I saw the new Vessel Blue colorway, I just could not resist. I have a hunch when my wife sees the joyous new colors for Women, the same thing is going to happen with her. Maybe the trick here is to just PLAN on adding one of these timeless, indestructible badboys every year, and don't feel in the slightest bit guilty. Make the Synchilla Snap T one of YOUR life's greatest pleasures! Words of advice: WASH your new Snap T before you wear it, to get rid of the lint; and never, never, never, never put it in the Dryer!! Completely unnecessary, they dry quickly and I think tumble drying may trigger the residual lint nuisance.
This is stupid but frustrating...

3 de desembre del 2023I'm well aware your company (501-C4 actually... and that's awesome!) resists efforts by the consumer at large to offer product suggestions but this one is so trivial. You know that hang loop (mine's green but I guess they come in different colors) that lies flat? You know what I'm talking about, right? Well if you were to sew it so it was always slightly opened (like turning one end of the loop 180 degrees) it might save me and countless others from simply dropping the garment on the floor in hanging frustration. Or...here's another cheaper idea! Maybe offset the affixing of the two ends by 1/2" (their width) so you can get a finger through the hanging loop. I'm quite sure I'm not in your target consumer tranche but I shuck oysters for a living and after a night of opening aforementioned bivalves for awesome clients I find my hands are cold and tired...and stiff. Maybe I'm getting old.. I dunno, just thought I'd throw it out there. Hey thanks for marketing/producing awesome products I'm proud to wear... and keep it up!

11 de novembre del 2023TLDR; great sweater, decent fit for someone who struggles choosing between XL/XXL, only big downside is the elbows show wear very quickly if you sit at a desk alot, just the nature of the material I think and cant really be helped.
I'm a little over 6'2 240 lbs, and I always have trouble finding a fit between XL and XXL. This sweater is no different, but I don't blame Patagonia for it; I just have a weird body size/type. The sleeve length is perfect for me (some might feel its a bit short) and it does ride a bit high on the waist, but I do think thats kind of just the style they're going for. It feels slightly tight around my torso, so I usually wear a thin undershirt underneath.
As for the warmth of the sweater, its not designed for winter (or at least real winter in Canadian prairies). It could be paired with a windbreaker outer shell and get further use of it as the temps drop lower if you wanted though. It's actually really lightweight, and not having a hood makes it work great as 2nd layer. For me the coldest I wear it with nothing else on top is about -3c to -4c depending on the wind.
The biggest issue I have with it is how the material on the elbows has gotten squished down and show wear already after only about 2-3 months of wear. It's incredibly comfortable so I always wear it around the house, & I sit at a desk alot with my elbows on the table for my mouse/keyboard, so thats why its happening. As I said earlier I don't know if I would call it a real flaw because its just the nature of the material I think. (Other than this its holding up perfectly of course)
I really love the sweater so I'm thinking of looking into adding some type of patch to the elbows to prolong its life, and it could be an idea to pass along to the design team. Maybe including a patch that blends in since they are a bit flashy which some customers might not like.
Thanks Patagonia for the great product as always!

27 de gener del 2024I purchased this fleece to travel South America as one of my layers and I found myself a little disappointed. I have never owned a Patagonia product before, but was excited by my purchase because I thought I was buying a good quality product that both looked good and functioned well as a warm pullover. Unfortunately I found that it was only stylish for me. After traveling with it for 6 months in may climates I found myself cold whilst others with similar fleeces were warm. I wore this by itself whilst going out at night, I wore it under a shell while hiking, and I wore it as a layer while snowboarding. The whole time I wanted to like it, but I just didn’t perform the way I thought it might.
The pullover had some positives, like comfort and it didn’t shrink after many washes, but I also found the fabric sheds a lot.
Overall for the price point it isn’t worth it unless you are purely buying it because you like the aesthetic.
